Last year Aimhigher – the organisation responsible to encouraging students to pursue Higher Education – approached Positively MAD to ask us to develop English and Science Workshops for Year 10 and 11 students.
The task was handed over to former teacher and programme designer Alan David Pritchard, and the result was the Hooks, Lines and Thinkers workshops, which were originally trialled in Surrey and then delivered as far north as Preston.
The response from all the students has been remarkably overwhelming. They absolutely love both workshops and consistently rate it 5 stars when evaluating them afterwards.
What they all agree is how much fun the courses are and how easy it is for them to remember everything they are taught.
Aimhigher Preston was so impressed with the workshops that they have asked Alan to return to Lancashire to deliver more of them this year. Once again the students and teachers have been blown away by this learning experience, and here is a collection of their reviews from the courses that were delivered recently:
