NEWS: A million reasons to celebrate

ISLAND-based education training company Positively MAD is celebrating this week, having recently given a presentation to its one millionth student.

The innovative firm is celebrating its eight birthday this month and looks set to become the UK’s leading educational provider, with total sales reaching £5 million.

Positively MAD stands for Positively Making A Difference. From its beginnings eight years ago, it has shown students how learning can be a fun and enjoyable experience.

The firm’s presentations and workshops use a brand of zany humour and innovative ideas, which have delighted students and teachers up and down the country.

The latest two ventures for the company are the creation of home-study courses that can be used around the world and also the provision of business licences for entrepreneurs who wish to capitalise on the success of the company.

Mark Stafford, commercial director of Positively MAD, said: “We now have two new websites, which we have created in order to make our efforts known to the global market. This means we are able to focus our attention on new marketing strategies and innovations in order to generate sales and attract licensees.

Managing Director Alan Winter added that the websites were created using Isle of Wight design firms. He said: “We are, after all, based on this amazing island — why not provide work for local businesses? We have repeatedly received work from schools on the Island, so it seems only fair we generate work for other companies.”
