NEWS: Certificated Coaching Courses get 5-star approval!

We at Positively MAD are always considering ways that we can support schools so that students and teachers can make a positive difference in their lives and to their futures. With this in mind, we are delighted to announce the launch of our half-day CERTIFICATED COACHING COURSES, which are open events run at venues around the country.

The Certificated Coaching Courses invite teachers to become Coaching ‘Champions’ within their schools, allowing them to learn our best-selling coaching programmes so that they can run them themselves in their schools whenever they see fit and as often as they need.

The aim of the Certificated Coaching Courses is to train teachers to be able to deliver the programmes, providing them with in-depth knowledge and expert advice about the essentials of each programme. The courses are run by either the creators of the programmes or master practitioners of the programmes, and provide teachers with a marvellous opportunity to meet with other teachers, troubleshoot delivery issues, and discuss how best to use the programmes for maximum impact on their students.

The Certificated Coaching Courses are run at venues around the country to allow for as many teachers to attend without the hassle of having to travel too far, and last for 4 hours per Coaching Course. That means teachers can opt to attend a morning or an afternoon session.

Having teachers become in-school champions now means that schools no longer have to pay to bring in outside speakers and presenters (which, admittedly, is quite costly) and affords them the opportunity to literally save thousands of pounds over the next few years. Teachers will receive certification which adds to their professional development portfolio and this allows them run the course as many times as they wish, providing they purchase the student resources from our Head Office.

Teachers receive a Coaching Programme Presenter Training Pack, completely resourced with training DVDs, videos, workbooks, presenter manuals and supportive resources, which will allow them to master the coaching programme at their leisure, in addition to receiving expert tuition on the day of the Certificated Coaching Course.

These open events are ideal for:
• teachers wishing to enhance their CPD portfolio in schools by running study skills sessions for students.
• lead-learners in educational establishment s wishing to provide their learners with a substantial and effective study skills programme.
• tutors wishing to offer additional study skills opportunities for pupils.
• extended schools co-ordinators wishing to run learning workshops for members of the community.

The first of these Certificated Coaching Courses was run on the Isle of Wight, and both the Goal Mapping and 6S Study Skills received an average of 5 Stars when reviewed by the delegates on the day.
