NEWS: Learn-it-yourself Coaching Programmes save schools thousands of pounds!

Positively MAD, sensitive to the fragility of present economic markets and sympathetic to the needs of schools who are tightening their budgets, are pleased to announce the launch of our Student Coaching Products – a range of learn-it-yourself courses that schools can purchase in order to cut down on the costs of bringing in outside speakers year in and year out.

Every year, schools spend thousands of pounds paying for outside trainers to provide study skills seminars and workshops for their pupils.  This often means as much as up to £1500 per day’s training – which is a huge drain on any school’s resources. Now, with the credit crunch biting even harder on the economy, schools need to find ways to save money whilst still providing quality resources to their pupils and allowing them access to specialist training.

Which is why Positively MAD have created a unique range of learn-it-yourself student coaching programmes, priced at a fraction of the cost of usual external training.

These student coaching programmes are available in box-sets, and come complete with presenter handbooks, workbooks, training videos, student resources, course presentation slides and a full script to enable staff at schools to learn how to run the courses themselves. This means that schools, for a one-off purchase fee, can buy the rights to these courses which effectively allows them to run the course as often as they see fit, to as many students as they wish, for as long as they want.

So says Mark Stafford, Commercial Director of Positively MAD, “Instead of paying £6000 pounds for 4 years’ worth of outside training, a school can purchase a box-set course for less than £600 pounds, can have a member of staff learn the course using our easy-to-follow training system, and then can run that course for as many years as they want – thereby saving the schools, quite literally, thousands of pounds.”

This means that schools can use their funds for additional resources like text books, computers, and extra facilities – whatever they need to enhance the learning of their pupils.

The two best-selling coaching programmes presently on offer are the highly successful 6S Study Skills System (teaching students how to avoid cram studying by using a process of regular review and daily reflective practice), and the Aim Higher Goal Mapping System (showing students how to set meaningful goals – and providing them with the means to make those goals a reality, whether they be for coping with transition, determining exam success, or moving towards higher education).
