NEWS: Lewisham parents and pupils go Positively MAD

This month, Positively MAD was invited to deliver a combined parent-pupil aspirational event at Bonus Pastor, where 50 Year 9 and 10 students and their parents/carers were treated to the Mastering Student Motivation seminar.

The event was part of the Lewisham Challenge Network Meetings where aspirational events are part of the programme. Positively MAD had a really positive impact at Bonus Pastor – so much so that the event was featured in the Lewisham Challenge Equalities and Achievement Spring Bulletin.

In the report, Positively MAD is praised for its “creative, interactive and energetic style”, with one year 10 pupil having a profound revelation:

“I thought it was interesting because I learnt to appreciate my education and to be more positive with my learning.”

Mastering Student Motivation is a dynamic and engaging seminar course which introduces young people to the concept of personal responsibility. It encourages Key Stage 3, 4, and 5 students to take a proactive approach to life, rather than just reacting to things around them.

From the report in the Lewisham Spring Bulletin it is clear that Positively MAD had another successful delivery and we would like to thank all the parents and students for making our presenter feel so valued and appreciated.
