NEWS: New GCSE Revision Courses for Key Stage 4

Young people all over the country are feeling more confident about their ability to learn in fun and innovative ways thanks to our 2 new enjoyable GCSE Revision workshops.

Called Hooks, Lines and Thinkers, they are thought-provoking 2 hour coaching sessions aimed at students on the C/D borderline, and provide effective and creative ways to revise for GCSE Science and English examinations.

Piloted over two years, these courses are now available for schools all over the UK.

As you may well know, we have a reputation for providing students with unforgettable learning experiences, and the Hooks, Lines and Thinkers workshops are proving to be just as effective at making students realise that learning can be fun and enjoyable. During these workshops, students learn to use the power of their imaginations to personalise their learning and to make revision more creative and rewarding.

Run at schools in classrooms up and down the country, the Hooks, Lines and Thinkers courses consistently get rated 4 and 5 stars from the students who experience them, and generous praise from the teachers who observe the workshops.

These courses were described as “outstanding” by the deputy head of a school in Preston recently, who went on to say, “the students had an amazing experience”. He was impressed at how the “energy, enthusiasm and passion” of the presenter “motivated the students far beyond our expectations.”

Students have been equally positive in their praise: “It was totally mad and taught us a different way of learning Science with humour and no boring bits!” wrote a Year 10 student, while another reported that “Today’s experience has helped me to understand other great ways to revise and I know this has helped me greatly.”
