Mark Kennedy, one of Positively MAD’s excellent presenters, was this week nominated for the prestigious “Inspiring Achievements Award” hosted by Northamptonshire Education and Work Service and Connexions.

Nominated by schools across the county, the award acknowledges the support, contribution and dedication of employers across Northamptonshire in supporting and developing the workforce of tomorrow.

Mark was nominated by Campion School for working with their students for a number of years. In that time, he delivered Goal Mapping in readiness for the work experience to 6th formers and for a transition group in a summer school.  He has also delivered a study skills programme to their new 6th form as well.

“It is nice,” Mark remarked, “to get recognition for a great relationship. It was a great honour to be nominated alongside some major companies in Northants, many of whom have departments and specific people dedicated to running work experience programmes.”

The nomination celebrates the support given to education by those involved in challenging and creative work-related learning and enterprise, helping to both inspire and raise achievement of young people.

The nomination is testament to Mark’s commitment to helping young people achieve the best they can and, despite not winning this year, his sterling, tireless work in the Northamptonshire area means he is sure to be nominated again.

In our eyes, he is a major winner already.

All of us here at Positively MAD would like to congratulate Mark on his nomination, and to wish him more even more success as he continues to make a positive difference to the lives of young learners.
