Positively MAD is indeed fortunate to have the services of so many talented and influential presenters: passionate folk who make a difference to the lives and learning ability of young people all over the country. One such presenter is Mr Jay Shirley. He’s been with Positively MAD for many years now and consistently receives enthusiastic and positive reviews for the courses he delivers.

Recently Jay was at Cherwell School delivering Goal Mapping courses to Year 12 and at Rushey Mead where he presented the Exam Busters course to Year 11 students.

At both events, students and staff were deeply impressed with Jay’s efforts, as is clearly evident in the feedback they provided.

Read on to discover the positive things people have said about Jay’s delivery.

Exam Busters: Teacher Comments: Rushey Mead School, Leicester

  • (Jay) Equipped students with a range of effective revision methods beyond ‘just reading’. Engaged them and’ switched them on’ to revision.
  • Because the presenter spoke to the students in a way that they respected him, he had total control and what was really evident was the feeling that the students enjoyed the session as well as took away lots of ideas for revision techniques.”
  • Evaluation from students (1) poor – (5) good: the majority (5),  plus all students able to give an example of a technique they feel able to use.
