REVIEWS: GCSE English Revision Session “a unique way of learning”

 Positively MAD’s hugely successful Hooks, Lines and Thinkers English Revision presentation was run at Jo Richardson Community School in Essex last Saturday and was described as an “Interesting and unique way of learning that encourages everyone to learn.” 

  Delivered by Alan David Pritchard, the course creator, this inspirational learning event was run as a Saturday revision class, attended by over 70 enthusiastic and well-behaved students – all of whom provided very positive feedback indeed. 

  “It is amazing,” reported one student. “There are so many exam tips that can help us understand things and overcome our fear of exams.” 

  The course shows students how to use the Number Rhyme Memory Hook System to encode and recall over 100 facts needed for the English exams. It shows them how to avoid the common errors that usually prevent students from achieving a C grade in the exams. 

  “It was more like a show rather than a study revision session. Alan made it funny,” reported another student.
