GOING FOR GOLD -Breaking the barriers to achievement!

Our thoughts command our bodies;
the way we think is reflected in the way that we act.

The GOING FOR GOLD Programme introduces the concept of mind/body synergy. How can action reinforce thoughts and beliefs? How does movement affect emotion? This highly engaging course provides techniques and strategies which can be used to increase performance and effectiveness. It will enable young people to become conscious of their behaviour and to employ strategies to affect it.  This informative 2 ½ hour session will delight students in Years 10 and above, and is suitable for groups of up to 100 at a time.
This course will appeal to:

  • Students who face sporting challenges
  • Students who need to reflect on their behaviour to understand how it affects their aspirations
  • Students who need a motivational boost

During the course students will:

  • Understand physiology: the relationship between mind and body
  • Experience the 4-Step Learning Model
  • Learn how to condition themselves for success

This course has 2 main aims:

  • To show students how to become a more effective performer through reflection
  • To show students how to change their behaviour to affect the success they seek
