“I would like to recommend the Positively MAD presentation on Goal setting and Goal mapping; we had the presentation yesterday in school and it was fabulous.

The presenter was lively, funny and really knew how to pitch the material at the right level for the target audience of Year 8 students. He made the talk extremely relevant to the students and they readily engaged with the material and activities presented.

It was very thought provoking and I shall continue to reinforce some of the points raised when I talk to this Year group again about raising aspirations.

He dealt with challenging behaviour effectively and clearly works with young individuals a lot!

The presenter was very professional, arrived promptly and set up quickly, he was not even thrown by the problems with ICT that we experienced, he remained calm and dealt with the situation accordingly.

I have fed back to Aim Higher in Suffolk my opinion on the presentation and will certainly use Positively Mad again next year and even try to find the funding to allow more activities to occur this year.

GOAL MAPPING COACHING COURSE

 

OVERVIEW

Described as a universal tool for attainment, the Aiming Higher seminar is inclusive of age sex and ability. This seminar is ideal for whole year groups. There are 2 seminars throughout the day, with a maximum of 100 students per seminar. Each seminar lasts just under 2 ½ hours.

Suitable for years - 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11 supporting transition, exam success or career choices.

GOAL MAPPING COACHING COURSE

The objective of the Aiming Higher seminar is for each student to design a powerful vision for their future, and to create a route map for success which they can use to steer themselves through their school life.

Setting Goals for success will encourage students to become more motivated and positive about their time in education and their future careers and prospects.

Student Goals are highly personalised: students take immediate ownership of their goals and develop a sense of purpose and responsibility for their own futures.  

The Aiming Higher programme is a unique goal setting technique, as students are able to visualise the routes needed to achieve the outcomes they desire and can verbalise their progress along the way. Goal Maps therefore make excellent review material and afford the opportunity for lead learners to build meaningful relationships with their students as they chart their progress towards personal success and fulfilment.

Goal Maps can be revisited, reviewed and remoulded to fit the changing needs of all students involved.

This dynamic seminar is a wonderful opportunity for whole year groups to participate in an interactive presentation that will raise students’ aspirations by guiding them through a reflective journey of inner discovery and self motivation to create a clear pathway to success.

This seminar consists of 2 sessions, each lasting 75 minutes.
