Who’s it for?

A DYNAMIC, FUNNY, UPLIFTING, CONFIDENCE-BOOSTING, EMPOWERING COURSE FOR PUPILS IN YEARS 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 AND BEYOND.

Owing to the nature of the course, 30 is the maximum size for any group at one time.

Course Overview

The 6S Success Course is pupil-friendly, entertaining, informative, inspiring, confidence-building, and motivates students to master a range of effective learning tools.

The course is run in 5 one-hour workshops, which build upon each other to give students a deep understanding of the 6S System.

The workshops are filled with challenging activities, fun break-state tasks, informative advice and practical, sensible ideas.

The course fosters reflective practice skills and promotes success-focussed thinking. It encourages students to be more proactive concerning their learning and provides them with an independent means to self-study.

The course motivates students to regard themselves as capable and accomplished learners, and is structured around Bloom’s Taxonomy to allow them to:

Aims and Objectives

  1. To change pupils’ perception of their ability to remember and learn things
  2. To provide a toolkit of study strategies to be applied and assessed throughout the course
  3. To expose the students to current research around key areas like sleep, sustenance, sport, support and state in order to encourage them to prepare their whole body for the exam experience
  4. To inspire students to further apply the tools learnt throughout the day to their study habits by using the Regular Review Process (a way of systematically reviewing work until it is "just known".)
  5. To promote the concept of self-reflection and regular reflection
  6. To promote healthier lifestyle choices and a more positive attitude to exams and tests

The ultimate objective of the course is to introduce students to the concept of reflective practice, and, in particular, to encourage the adoption of the REGULAR REVIEW PROCESS and the reflective practice cycle.

  6. Opportunity to download supportive resources from our website

In addition, schools will also be furnished with a FEEDBACK REPORT after the course which provides invaluable data, useful for answering the school’s S.E.F.
