THE 6S STUDY SKILLS SYSTEM

This course consists of 5 one-hour workshops that show Key Stage 4 students how to learn how to learn and how to avoid cram studying by regularly reviewing and reflecting on their learning. It introduces them to a system that enables them to experiment with a range of highly effective learning tools The course also encourages students to reflect on their lifestyle choices in order to make healthy changes to support exam success.

INNER WINNER

This fun and entertaining workshop provides Key Stage 4 students with 6 effective learning techniques to prepare for their GCSE Science exam. Using examples from the Science curriculum, these learning to learn tools can also be applied to other subjects to make revision more effective and rewarding.

GOING FOR GOLD

This course is ideal for C/D borderline students at Key Stage 4 as it shows them how to revise more effectively for their GCSE English exam. Using a memory hook system, students will remember over 100 facts without writing them down. Covering basic skills to writing improvement techniques, this course ably demonstrates alternative approaches to revision.

Personal development, learning to learn and GCSE revision

Our student coaching / student mentoring programmes are highly specialised workshops, geared towards small groups of up to 30 Key Stage 4 students, selected by schools who wish to target specific cohorts. These courses empower students with important life skills and effective learning to learn tools, encouraging them to take personal responsibility for their learning and their aspirations. Ideal for students preparing for GCSE and other examinations.
