This course examines ways in which we can teach Science so that students remember what we have taught while learning a variety of memory techniques which they can apply to other subjects. The course revisits Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences Theory and shows teachers how to plan so that different thinking and learning styles are accessed. We explore Bloom’s revised thinking taxonomy and look at the importance of questioning skills to Science. We also discover how we can use the story method, the journey method, the memory hooks system, plus a range of other effective learning techniques to make the learning and remembering of Science a great deal of fun.
This course is suitable for all KS1 and KS2 teachers, and classroom assistants.
The presenter of this course will require a screen, a CD player, a bottle of water, and a room of eager minds. The course is suitable to groups of up to 100 teachers.

It is rare that someone makes such an impression in such a short space of time but you certainly did that. I was also glad to see that you could feel what a special school ours is because I felt it immediately too.”
